Christmas morning arrived with me waking at 5:30. My first thought was that Elfie, aka The Elf on the Shelf, was still atop the tree! I dashed downstairs as quickly and quietly as possible to remove him from his perch before the urchins woke.

 Phew! No more Elfie.

 

 Santa brought Ellie Nerf swords just like Mason's. 

Fencing lessons may be needed.

 The first true squeal of delight came when Ellie opened her cupcake maker.

What did your floor look like yesterday morning?

It was at this point that I stopped taking photos and started 

clearing the floor so no gifts were stepped on.

Ready for dinner.

Mother Nature obliged and gave us just enough snow to set the perfect scene for Christmas.
