We had another gorgeous afternoon which meant that Ellie and Grace wanted outside to pick their favorite flowers - that brilliant yellow bane of gardeners.

After an intensive search for the, as yet, semi-elusive flower, the girls decided to play on the slide.
For anyone who saw my Facebook post about the dog fight in our yard with my comment that Riley stood his ground and defended his territory (our backyard) and the girls, this is Riley. He's one big, lovable, very gentle and playful soul. I'm not sure who enjoys his visits most but have a strong suspicion that it's me. Riley's humans are going to be moving and I'm kind of hoping that they leave him at our house.
Thankfully, though, Riley went home before the paints came out. Can't you just see Ellie and Grace deciding to hug that blond dog with paint on their hands?
